Greetings all! Believe I have a Malware issue on my system. The issues started after a windows update reboot and I received this message after attempting to troubleshoot my network connection, “Windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings.”
Attempted several system restores which failed to restor to the selected date/time.
In my haste I completed a system recovery to no avail; very few program files were lost!
Network adapter (reset), router, and modem are all functioning normally. WiFi signal is available and wireless devices are able to connect to the router but, not to the web.
There are three other CPU’s on our network and none are able to connect to the web. My CPU is the network host.
I have not run any of the programs listed in other malware threads on this site for fear of creating a much larger issue!
