I have just spent all afternoon uploading some Mpeg video files using windows and have tried to get to them through Cyberlink Power Director 13.  I can see it in a folder but when I click to open the folder it says

'No items match your search' and all I get is a blank screen.

How do I solve this problem please?  I'm fed up to the back teeth of failing every time I try something new.  I'm using windows 7 home edition.

It's picking up stuff which I thought I had cleared the disk of.

Thanks.

Hi,

You mean when you try to import video file in Cyberlink PowerDirector,it doesn't show those files in folder?

If yes, it could be because format of video is not supported by PD 13.

Hi thanks for your reply, how do I correct this please?  When I first put the lead in to upload them it didn't give me the option to transfer them straight to Cyberlink, so I chose the windows option which was in the list.

How do I avoid this in the future?  :)

by "upload" i assume you mean import.

Because i don't have Cyberlink PowerDirector so i can't really tell exactly.

If there is anyone who use PD can help you better.

It would be best if you go to Cyberlink's support:

I would ask are the files there on the disc when you just open it in explorer?  Then I would say like above, format issues.  Sometimes codex issues but that is usually audio and video.

Try using something like MS player or VLC with is my fav.  Still not working then the file might not be there at all.

Also check to see if its protected digital contect from the source.

hope it helps

It would be best if you go to Cyberlink's support:

I have now but they don’t seem to be very helpful and keep asking questions on top of mine, and I don’t seem to getting anywhere.

Are the files there on the disc when you just open it in explorer?

Yes I can see them in the folder when I click on import files. But it has gone very sluggish now and a horrible sound comes out of my speakers. Was working OK until I tried adding transitions!  Also I notice a message with a green line going across saying 'rendering' what ever that means.

Can you tell me if Windows movie maker is better? Or as someone suggested Serif free editing software or 'Movie plus starter edition'?

Thanks.
