Hi

I am wondering if someone can help me with getting this gamezooks stuff off of my computer. I have seen some other posts regarding it and have tried a lot of the steps but its not working.

My main issues are that when I click on links on a legit site it will open another page and as well from time to time it opens a small pop up screen on the bottom right side and really slows my system.

Any advice on removing this?

Thank you

Hello Mandy78

It might be that it has left some browser extension. Does it still appear in your Add or Remove programs list?

Here are some extension removal guides(source: /remove-gamezooks-popup-ads-ads-by-gamezooks-removal-guide/)

Firefox User

  1. Click the menu button 191.pngand choose Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
  2. In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.
  3. Make sure to remove all extensions you do not know or need.
  4. Click Disable or Remove button of GameZooks.
  5. Click Restart now if it pops up.

Google Chrome User

  1. Click the Chrome menu 191.png on the browser toolbar.
  2. Click Tools.
  3. Select Extensions.
  4. Click the trash can icon 211.png to delete GameZooks extension.
  5. Make sure to remove all extensions you do not know or need.
  6. A confirmation dialog appears, click Remove.

Internet Explorer User

  1. Open the IE, click the Tools button221.png and then click Manage add-ons.
  2. Click Toolbars and Extensions on left side of the window., and then select GameZooks
  3. Make sure to remove all BHO’s you do not know or need.
  4. If the add-on can be deleted, you’ll see the Remove option. Click Remove and then click Close. Otherwise click Disable button.

I would suggest that you run Malwarebytes program just to be sure. You can download it here:

Hmm I did notice that it was in there so I have removed it ---thanks!. Feel kind of stupid now. I think that should at least take care of the pop ups. I will see if it takes care of the other issue as well
