I have 2 problems, my first is I am on a XP machine I am forced to use due to my other machine that I tried upgrading from Win 7 Home Prem to the free Win 10.After playing with Win 10 for the day and then logged off. When I tried to boot the PC the following day, I got a black screen with "Loading Operating System...." that hung up. I downloaded a recovery program from NeoSmart Technologies which allowed me to revert the win 10 back to win 7 but now it hangs on the same screen with my original win 7. I remembered this site and was trying to download farbar FRST64 to run on the win 7 machine to try, but the downloads repeatedly keep coming up "Download error. I thought maybe I have malware or virus preventing me from downloading or the site detects the machine I am on is 32 bit and won't let me download the 64 bit FRST. Any suggestions on

1. how to get the Farbar FRST64 downloaded?

2. how can I fix the black screen "Loading Operating System" I tried all the recovery methods that win 7 offered once I got into them. Although none worked

G'day urrainman, and Welcome to BC.

In other words this PC will not boot to Windows.

I will report that for you.

There are specific people that deal with that.

See my reply in this topic which may explain what is going on and what to do. Any option is to download FRST from another computer.

If you need individual assistance with malware infection, follow the instructions provided in the Malware Removal and Log Section Preparation Guide. If you cannot produce any of the required logs...start the new topic anyway. Explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happened when you tried to create them. A member of the Malware Removal Team will walk you through, step by step, on how to clean your computer.

Post in the Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs forum {NOT here) for assistance by the Malware Response Team...after doing that, please reply back in this thread with a link to the new topic so we can closed this one.
