My computer was working fine but up until three days ago my internet would slowly respond and I disconnected and reconnected my net from router. I then seen in the network connections my laptop couldn't reconnect. It kept repeating "trying to connect to guest connection" (Never seen this before), repeatedly trying to connect to main connection, and "Virus detected". I then switched off my wireless connection via switch and decided to run AVG AV. It has found 9 threats labeled IRP hook at medium threat that wont delete on its own and I'm too afraid to manually remove ( Did virus scan last week and did not find anything). I also can not use system restore or roll back or start safe mode for some odd reason (something about error with c drive or hard disk or it just Hangs for a long time). Additionally I ran malwarebytes which found some PUP's which I deleted but AVG still detects the IRP HOOK. Now today my internet speed dips harshly, certain windows and operations freeze or hang for a bit, and boot up and shut down time are significantly longer. I believe I'm am still infected. Please help.

I ran CCleaner and disk cleaner. Disk defrag isn't responding too well so I Couldn't do that.

Here is what AVG detected

"";"IRP hook, C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\hidusb.sys IRP_MJ_WRITE -> HIDCLASS.SYS +0x2710, C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\HIDCLASS.SYS";"Unresolved"

Before I seen this post I ran CHKDSK, my AVG anti virus, and malwarebytes  anti malware again. Strangely AVG and MBAM didn't find ANYTHING. Also my computer and internet is working at normal speed again. No Rook kit detected.

I still got the "";"Corrupted executable file, C:\Windows\SysWOW64\mfc45.dll";"Secured"  detection however.

So maybe I had a driver issue?. The only issue I have now is this weird " WINDOWS INSTALLING" pop up I get when I turn on my computer now, which pops up repeatedly before eventually stopping. Should I still follow the steps you listed?

Yes run the fix I suggested.

A restore point will be created if something goes wrong you can always restore the system.
