Ok so i just got a laptop that has 2 graphics cards. An integrated card and a dedicated card. So I turned on the computer after installing windows and in the device manager it already has a driver through windows update or something. So anyways the first thing I do is go and download the real driver from geforce. It installs and I reboot my computer but in device manager under the nvidia card it still says driver date: 7/22/15 which is the same date that it had before I had installed a driver. So I am just wondering is the card even using the driver I installed (which is the latest and has the best performance) or is it using the one that windows installed. Thanks!

What nvidia GPU do you have? Once you find out, download the drivers for it here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

and select all the appropriate options. The driver installer will tell you what the current version of driver is that is installed and the newest one. It will then guide you through the setup process.

Also, before you run the installation, temporarily disable your anti virus (be sure to re-enable it after the install) and when you run the setup for the new Nvidia driver right click on it and  ' run as administrator '

If you installed them yesterday, they're up to date for sure. I would check for an update within the next 2 weeks.
