What happens when you right-click on the tray icon?  Does a menu appear?

Left-click on the carrot to "Show hidden icons", is it there?

Start the Task Manager, click the "Process" tab, find "Ditto.exe" under the "Image Name" column, right-click on the process(image name) and select "End Process" from the menu.  It will no longer be running and you should be able to uninstall it.
