Hi, does anyone know of a way to do this?  Upon looking through Opera's current extensions that prevent redirects, the only one I can see is called NoDetour.  I've been using it for a few days, but I just did a couple tests to load pages, and then monitored the little flashing web sites lists that come up in the lower left while the page is loading.  On bleepingcomputer for example, if I load it, I see a few different facebook url's coming up, a few different google urls, youtube urls, ytmg urls (also youtube?) or whatever it's called.  So there are currently a lot of undesirable hops in the mix to destroy.  This is very noticeable in terms of unecesarily slowing browser speed.

Except that one, Opera doesn't have any other add-ons to stop redirects; however there are extensions available in Chrome's web store which can work.

To be able to install extensions from Chrome, Download Chrome Extension has to be installed first in Opera.

Hey, I am running the Chrome extension called "Fix url redirects" in Opera.  When I refresh this page, I am still seeing a bunch of other sites instead of going directly to the bleepingcomputer url for this page above.

Is the extension not working correctly?

Is there a better one for this?

A screen-shot would be helpful.

Here, it is loading directly just as usual without any other deterrent.

And about that particular extension not working properly - there are several anti-redirect extensions (like Redirect ControlDo not redirect me etc.) in the Chrome web-store.

You've to go through each one and see which one will work for you.

If none of them works, then it could be a browser-redirect malware. To diagnose if it really is & for related support, you may post in this section :
