Hi

I was dreaming today when a program started up and asked me if I wanted to change the file associations for that and all programs like it.

Without thinking I said yes. Now all my file extensions have been changed from .exe to .adobe pdf. I think the program was java but not sure.

I tried to change them back in control panel but exe files are not listed in the file types. The only way I got my files back was to uninstall adobe reader.

can anyone help please

I seemed to have solved this problem somehow. Uninstalled adobe reader. Installed Nitro pro 8 reader. Reinstalled adobe reader. The file associations seem to have reset themselves somehow.
