I allowed the auto download of Windows 10. Now when I turn the computer on the desktop DOES NOT come on. I get a blinking screen continuously. What must I do? (yes I checked the monitor cable)

Try continuously tapping F8 when you switch on to see if it will go into safe mode.  Also post system specs many times that helps the folks with their thoughts.

F8 key most likely won't work. It never did for me.

Windows 8 and up startup is simply to quick to make F8 key to work.

Your best option is to create Windows 10 DVD and boot from it.

What do you mean by "auto download?"  If you downloaded Windows 10 it just goes into a file on your hard drive and has absolutely no effect whatsoever on your computer. Maybe something is wrong with your machine which you should fix before you install Windows 10.
