I have bought a Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-HD3   Mother board.

This mother has AMD integrated graphics but i bought the AMD A8 7600 APU.

My 500W cheap PSU has only 4 Pin for mother board and 6Pin for GPU.

Now the ATX connector is actually an 8 Pin and not 4 Pin connector.

so i have connected the 4 Pin connector to the right side and booted fine with out crashes..

Why this Mother board has 8Pin connector instead of 4Pin and should i be worried about it?

I got a suggestion that because this mother board has an integrated GPU it require an extra power 12V but only when i need to use it.

Is it true?
