your laptop is failing the Power on Self Test, the beeps can give a general idea of what is wrong. Look at http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN161876/EN

just scroll down a little and there is a table for the beep code

Is the laptop new or have you had it a while? If it was under warranty still I would have someone from dell look at it or a computer repair shop.

That beep is called a POST code. Power On Self Test. As Yu Gnomi has suggested, the beep sequence represents the specific issue.

Count how many beeps you hear. You have a dell, yes? Since you're saying "a lot" im asumming you have around 4, 5, maybe 6 beeps. For the three of them this means: 3: System board error , 4: Memory error 5: CMOS Battery error 6: Video subsystem failure
