After installing 10 I got confused and strange things started to happen it seems to hate Google so I reset the thing but could not find things so tried resetting again To cut a long story short I decided that 10 was a bit too grown up for me and I would revert to windows 7 but 10 has deleted it so now I have nothing can I ask Microsoft for for a free download of 7 to replace mine as HP does not give restore discs with their products. At the age of 79 this is something I could live a bit longer without any advice will be appreciated.

There are other people here with more experience with 10 but I thought it would give you the option to revert back.

The downgrade to the version of Windows you upgraded from is only possible if you still have the windows.old folder on the C: drive. Otherwise, you cannot downgrade using Windows 10's built-in feature. Also, the downgrade is only possible in the 30 days following the upgrade to Windows 10.

Can you elaborate more on that please?

To be honest I don't have a clue what I am doing.I ran the windows update then tried to understand the system but it was totally different from windows 7 plus it said I should load new Radeon graphics drivers I think it said but my pc said my drivers were ok then I read on the net others had the same problem, my Google was only partially working so I got the hump and tried to restore my windows seven but somehow reset windows 10 twice then saw a warning that my win 7 had been corrupted or at least files were missing.I am going to try again in the morning but it looks as if I will have to purchase a new win 7 or 8.

Thank you very much for your kind interest in my problem but I don't have enough knowledge of computers to be able to help anyone giving me assistance. When I was in school we had wooden pens with nibs and the free milk was delivered by a man with a horse and milk float Gosh those were the days cant imagine where the Enigma machine came from certainly not from anyone at my school but thanks once again Dusty
