Hi, i dont have any sound coming out of my computer. checked everything i could think of ( device manager, volume control ) but nothing. I noticed the problem after installing Half-life 2 Episode 1 and trying to play. Not sure if this is when it started though since i almost always had the volume muted before that. any ideas?

First I would like to welcome you to Bleeping Computer.
Have you checked to see if the speakers have come unplugged? Have you checked to see if your head phones are plugged in?

If you have the drivers handy, or can download them delete the sound card from the Device Manager and allow it to reinstall at boot.
