There are 3 main ways I, personally use to clean my keyboard:

1. Use a can of compressed air and go between the keys

2. Use a hair dryer

3. Blow with your lungs

After doing this, I noticed that my keyboard had little "dust bunnies" in it and then afterwards the keyboard was quieter and softer when you type. :)

You probably could remove the keys for the time being but I didn't do that so I couldn't tell you how to though.
