New to BC, but have been viewing for a long time.

My turn....

Need help identifying strange icon that appeared in taskbar a few days ago.

See pic.

Mouse over - nothing. Right or left click - nothing.

I can pick it and move it to the hidden icon area.

Not the keyboard functions, as I removed it and replaced it with another make keyboard.

Computer clean, AVG, Malwarebytes, SuperAntispyware, etc.

Appears every time I boot/reboot.

Haven't installed anything recently (intentionally....lol).

Nothing in msconfig obvious.

Haven't gone through the process of turning them off one at a time yet.

Anyone else seen this?

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Check to see if your caps lock key is engaged.

This is what the caps lock icon looks like in Windows 8.1.

caps%20lock_zpsaaeq2daa.png

Try this...

1.  Click Start, then click Control Panel.
2.  Click on Display icon, then click on Change display settings on left panel.
3.  Click on the Advanced settings, then click on On-Screen Display tab.
4.  Check Enable on-screen display.
5.  Under "Indicator settings for NumLock and CapsLock" section, look for "While the numeric lock or caps lock is ON" section, choose the "Show the indicator for a few seconds" option.
6.  Click Apply, then click OK, and click OK to close the window.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Well, to all that have responded, thanks anyway.

Went through and killed processes one by one until I found it.

Acronis 2015 is the owner of this taskbar icon. What suprises me is there is no mouse-over, or right-click information attached to the icon in the taskbar.
