Installing O/S on a new hard drive

Greetings. Re: O/S Vista

     Can I use a re-installation disc to install Vista on a new hard drive on my computer if I have the key code.? Thank You

If you have the key and install disk you should be able to install fine. If the key was from a COA sticker on the computer you would need to use phone activation. If the key was retail and came from another computer you would need to use phone activation to transfer the license.
