This is probably a dumb question but I'm wondering if the motherboard I selected is compatible with a video card.  The Asus H97M-E/CSM is 9.6 inch x 7.8 inch ( 24.4 cm x 19.8 cm ) and the Club 3D Radeon R9 290 RoyalAce 4GB video card is apparently 308mm (12.126) inches.  Does this mean that the card is not compatible with the motherboard or is it compatible and the sides will stick out?

G'day mate, either though the graphics card is longer than the motherboard, it will be still compatible with the motherboard because it uses the same PCI-E interface, and yes, it will stick out.
