My computer is giving me the blues. The pages are slowly pulling up and strange things are happening. I can type but sometimes the words are not coming up. I have to wait sometimes for the words to appear???? Where does that happen. My pages are taking forever to load. They are rolling or scrolling in instead of just popping up. Can someone please clean this computer, once and for all. Also, my antivirus, spyware blaster are all unprotected. I finally got my antivirus to scan but found 25 grime items that I can't clean. Screens are turning black for no reason at all, please when I click on a program that needs administrator password it gets stuck on the screen for a length of time and there is nothing I can do about it. When its time to type in passwords to certain sites, I type in my password then it stalls right after I type the password and cant do anything until screen comes back. UGGGGGGH

Hi justmeandmycomputer

We need to get some proper scans done.
You give no insight into your system... Operating system, ( Win7, Win8, Win8.1 ) Anti Virus etc.
What programs have you run to try and sort this?
Can you access Safe Mode at all?

Note:
There are both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Farbar Recovery Scan Tool available. Please pick the version that matches your operating system's bit type.

If you are unsure what you're system bit type is..... click Here for help.

For x32 bit systems download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

For x64 bit systems download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64 and save it to your Desktop.
  • Double-click the downloaded icon to run the tool. Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator

    frsticon_zpsdc3cbdc3.png
  • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.

    frstdis_zps7f598f12.png
  • Make sure that Addition.txt is selected at the bottom
  • Press Scan button.

    newfrst_zpsa63ffa3d.png
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). Please copy and paste it to your reply also.
Thanks

Hi justmeandmycomputer

when I am working in Google Chrome why does it have so many sessions open in task manager?

With Google Chrome, every time you open a new tab.... it starts a new process.
Multiple sessions in Task Manager are normal for Chrome.

Step 1
Please download the attached fixlist.txt file (bottom of this post) and save it to the Desktop.
NOTE.
It's important that both files, FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine.
Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system

Re-run FRST/FRST64 (which ever is installed ) and press the Fix button just once and wait.

frstfix_zps7db0c905.png

The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post this in your next reply.

Step 2
There's quite a few errors in the report relating to Malwarebytes AntiMalware.
Let's remove the version you have and get a fresh copy.
  • Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.
  • Restart your computer (very important).
  • Download mbam clean
and save to your Desktop.
  • Please close all open applications and temporarily shutdown your antivirus to avoid any conflicts when running the tool.
  • Locate the file mbam-clean.exe and double-click to run it... Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.. and follow the onscreen prompts.
  • It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so (very important)
  • After the computer restarts..........
  • Ensure that your antivirus is enabled and download the latest version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from Here and save it to your desktop.
  • Now close all open applications including your browser and again temporarily disable your antivirus as before and launch the Malwarebytes installer you just downloaded.
  • A 14 day trial of the Premium features is pre-selected. You may deselect this if you wish, and it will not diminish the scanning and removal capabilities of the program
I recommend that you UNtick this option at the final install stage.
  • When installation is complete....Make sure you re-enabled your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications.
  • Now click to update the MBAM definitions.
  • Click Scan Now >>
  • A Threat Scan will begin.
  • When the scan is complete, if there have been detections, click Apply Actions to allow MBAM to clean what was detected.
  • In most cases, a restart will be required.
  • Wait for the prompt to restart the computer to appear, then click on Yes.
    .

(Copy to clipboard for pasting into forum replies)
    • After the restart once you are back at your desktop, open MBAM once more.
    • Click on the History tab >> Application Logs.

      mbamapplog_zps222887ef.png
    • Double click on the scan log which shows the Date and time of the scan just performed.
    • Click 'Copy to Clipboard'

      mbamhis_zps7bfe6503.png
    • Paste the contents of the clipboard into your reply.
In your next reply, please submit:
    Fixlog.txt
    MBAM report

    Thanks.

After clicking on the link for mbam it will not let me install this on my computer. It has asked at least 3 times to restart and I have done that. After hitting the download button again it still will not let me install because it keeps giving me "this utility will remove all components are you sure you want to continue" I click yes for the fourth time. Then it proceeds to say "Please reboot I clicked yes on 4 different occasions but still getting the same error message. If I click no the message disappears into thin air.

Working on computer and computer stops all of a sudden. Can't move mouse, or cant ctrl alt del to get to task manager. I have to competely shut down computer to gain control over mouse and computer. The tower light is not blinking or moving when this computer stalls and freezes up, I have to completely shut everything down to continue. I am in school and I have to work in safe mode with networking which irks my soul.

Hi justmeandmycomputer

Also, I noticed at the top it states: MALWARE DISABLED AMONG OTHER FEATURES ARE DISABLE AS WELL

That's nothing to worry about.
Those are disabled when using the free version of MBAM.
They are only enabled in the paid for version.

I just don't believe this report didnt find anything when my computer is constantly making a small clicking noise and stalls whenever I enter passwords on my screen.

Each program we use will search for different things, so just because MBAM didn't find anything doesn't mean there's nothing to find.

You never mentioned the clicking noise before.
This could indicate a faulty fan or that the hard drive may be failing.
If it is the hard drive, it would explain a lot of your problems.
I would recommend that you backup everything to an external media just incase.

Do you know the make of your hard drive ( most manufacturers will have diagnostic tools on the website)
We could run these tools to check the hard drive.

If you don't know the make of the hard drive, we can get it by running the following program.

Download Speccy and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click the downloaded icon to run the installer
  • Vista and Win7/Win8 users right click and select 'run as Administrator'.
  • Follow the onscreen prompts... but do NOT allow it to add Google Chrome as your default browser, if asked.
  • Make sure that 'Run Speccy' is ticked at the end and click Finish.
Your system will now be analyzed and the information will appear in the Speccy window once complete.

Please post a snapshot of your PC.
  • In the Menu bar, (at the top left) click File >>> Publish Snapshot
  • Click Yes >>> Copy to Clipboard
Please paste this in your next reply.

Thanks
