my kid bought a laptop its running vista the problem is we cant get a hold of the seller,any way around this.

You can do a fresh install of Windows Vista by doing this: https://www.raymond.cc/blog/how-to-burn-downloaded-windows-vista-to-dvd/

 

All you need is access to one other computer and a blank dvd or usb. Then you can change the bios settings on your laptop to check for a bootable disc first, then reboot and insert dvd.

 

EDIT: You also need to know the product key of your Windows Vista, usually on the bottom of the laptop.

Now that is a problem. I forgot my PW last time and I need to take it to somebody who knows how to do it. You'd better do that to to be sure enough.
