I recently tried using VLC Player to convert a video file to WMV (don't ask), but the resultant file is just... weird:

1. The file opens but doesn't 'do' anything, and eventually crashes.

2. I cannot access My Computer directly, I just get that green loading bar at the top of the window which never quite makes it. Instead I have to search for a file and right click - select open file location.

3. When I try to delete this weird file, I get "preparing to recycle" but it never makes it (tried it for a few hours).

Here are some screenshots

Any help would be fantastic, so annoying!
