Hello, new to the forums, if I did something against the forum's guidelines, im really sorry.
This all started when a friend was asking me to trade for an item in Steam, didnt know that he was a bot, I downloaded the file, and when I noticed where the website redirected me to download it, I became suspicious of it. Now the file is in the Downloads Folder unattended. I decided to look into it I accidentally double-tapped my touchpad causing the .scr file to launch. Great mistake. I then started to do what I usually do when I encounter this situations; Run Avast, Run MalwareBytes, search here and then going into Safe Mode with Networking, trying to look for WINLODR.scr but nothing, and even tried to do a system restore in an attempt to make the computer delete everything in the system( As Windows told me it was running in System when I attempted to normally delete it).
Can anyone give help? I tried Avast and MalwareBytes, all giving me a all clear that theres no malware at all. But im sure theres a malware, since when I open Task Manager I look into Performance Tab and I see my Ethernet graph going really high when that was just when the Ethernet was still not plugged in, and booting up is just slow as hell.
EDIT: Right now, im using the "Infected" Computer and noticed the only clues a malware is still in the computer is the high Ethernet usage even though no programs are still on that uses it. And that whenever I boot up it takes like a minute just for the Login Screen to turn to Desktop, and when I try to open the Side Taskbar(I have Windows 8) and select Search, it disappears and won't even load the search bar, The icons are the same aswell, all looking like a blank sheet of paper icon.
