Secunia...8 hours and still scanning

I have been recommended the use of Secunia but with 3 separate versions I get the same problem:


1. I quickly get a report that 98% of my software is up to date, then


2. it begins scanning for outdated programs, and


3. Today, it has been scanning for 8 hours without finding anything, stopping, or telling me what's on it's mind.


As I said earlier, this has happened to me on three separate occasions,


a) I uninstalled the version of Secunia using Revo Uninstaller.


B) I re-installed directly from the internet, not from a current copy on drive.


c) Each time the same endless scanning.


Is it me or...?


Your help would be appreciated.
