Hello

I am on Windows 7 and am using HyperX Cloud II's.

This could be an issue with the headphones but i feel it is a software/driver problem.

When i try to listen to anything no sound comes out of my headphones whatsoever but the volume mixer shows that sound is playing. I have turned up the volume and set my headphones as the default playback device and ran troubleshooting with no avail. I plugged my speakers in and they play sound perfectly fine, my speakers run off realtek drivers i think. oh and yes i have tried a hard restart with the same issue.

Now this is were things get really weird. I tried uninstalling and then installing the drivers (via the device manager) and the sound works fine for a few minutes and then cuts out randomly and never starts again until i re install the drivers again.I feel there is no real trigger when it cuts out, I paused a video and then went back to playing it when i realized the sound had stopped working randomly. I doubt this is the problem but i am running a deep scan with avast to check for viruses.I also noticed the beeping sound from the headphone control panel when i turn the volume up still makes sound when no other sounds are playing so i can rule out an issue with the speakers being broken, I have tried a lot of fixes online and it is really getting me frustrated this is my last resort. There may have been some things i forgot but i think that about sums it up. I hope this is an easy fix and thanks for the help.
