Hi, I'm trying to get my friends laptop in working order and cleaned up all the other issues, adware, spyware, viruses over on the other forums. Now my issues are with wifi. I have the laptop connected to my home network, but when I take the laptop back to my friend it can NOT find their wifi or any of the wifi's available in the area. Can anyone help me out? I have a desktop and a laptop at my house and they can see all the other wifi's in my area and this laptop of my friends can only see my home network. I'm stumped and need help. I've had this laptop for a few weeks and am ready to get it taken care of and given back to my friend. So please someone help me out LOL. Thank you so much. It's running windows 7 64x.

Wifi has two bands 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz.

Does the laptop adapter support both?

Reason I ask is I suspect your network is 2.4 and your friends is 5 but the laptop adapter only supports 2.4 which would explain why it works on yours but not on the friends
