G'day deweytjones, and Welcome to BC.

1. Did you stop the program before trying to uninstall ?

2. Do you have an alternative AV ready to takes its place when it does uninstall ?

Condobloke, VoodooShield is not an AV. Rather, it is an anti-executable :)

deweytjones, can you go into Safe Mode and uninstall VoodooShield from there?

Sometimes the uninstall works more effectively if you first stop and disable the program's service (and associated processes in Task Manager) or perform the removal in safe mode as noted by Alex so there are less processes which can interfere with the uninstallation.

Hi, VoodooShield should uninstall perfectly without any issues.  Simply right click on VoodooShield and choose exit (VS will prompt you if it is running).  Then just uninstall it from the Control Panel / Programs and Features, or Add/Remove Programs if you are running Windows XP.  If you are still having problems, exit out of VS, then install it again from our website http://voodooshield.com/download/versions/InstallVoodooShield.exe, then do not reboot, just uninstall it as I described above.

There are several unofficial and patched / cracked versions of VS Pro floating around on the internet now, and I am not sure if they uninstall properly or not, but the official version from our website should uninstall without any issues at all.  Thank you!

Sure, thank you!  Sorry it took so long to respond, I just noticed the message today.  I am actually going to start a VoodooShield topic in the next couple of days so I can respond to any questions that the Bleeping Computer users might have.  Thanks again!
