All of a sudden I am not getting no signal to my Dvd, tried switching cables, even tried a different Dvd player. Can get the TV when switching cables on both cables. Can the TV be the culprit?

Is the DVD player inside of a computer or is it just an old fashioned DVD player hooked up to a TV?
