External SATA Drive Picture Recovery

Hello people...wonder if someone can help me....I have an External SATA Drive in which I used Recuva to find a video file...once found I overwrote this file so it could not be recovered again....but can this be undone some way? ...hope u can help :)

If you recovered the file to another drive and overwrote it there but left the original (as a deleted file) on the external drive you might have a chance of recovery if you have not written data to the external drive. If you overwrote the file on the external drive then there is no chance of recovery. Do you know the extension of the file you want recovered?

Hey John.. I couldn't tell from the OP's post on whether he is hoping to recover the file or if he's hoping no one can recover the file.  I think we need some clarity.

Sorry, then there is no chance of recovery.

Just to clarify. When you say to overwrote the file, did you simply delete it or erase it as in zeroing the file? In other words how did you overwrite the file?
