Hi people,

I run aCalendar on my phone (Samsung GT-I8262 Duos, Android 4.1.2) and on my tablet (Nexus 7 1st Generation, Android 5.1.1) and something strange/funny happens.

When I update my calendar on my phone and then synchonize it with my tablet, everything I added gets coloured red (on my tablet) although I colored them in different colors (on my phone).

The thing is, this doesn't happen if I update the calendar on my tablet and then synchonize it with my phone. Everything stays as I made it, in the right colors.

Have any of you any ideas?

Since this appears to be app specific I would suggest emailing the developer for support: support AT tapirapps.de

Hopefully you get a decent response from the developer. Looking forward to what they may have to say.

First I got an automatic reply email with stuff like: check our FAQ, check the FAQ from the Google calendar, etc.

As I still didn't find a solution, I replied with the information they wanted: devices, android version, aCalendar version.

I got a new answer asking me if I got the newest version google calendar on my devices. I answered back telling them yes.

Now I'm waiting for a new answer.

Update:

They said to me everything should be fine with them and that everything worked properly since Andoid version 4.1.1. I should check the FAQ from the Google Calendar and search there.

So, before I did that, I just uninstalled the Google Calendar and installed it again. Now everything works perfectly so I presume that it must have been a problem with a Google Calendar update, can that be possible?

Indeed it can be possible. I've had issues with my calendar app. It was giving me double and triple alerts when synched with Google calendar. Uninstall/reinstall and all was good. Since I was totally unfamiliar with your app, I wanted the developer have a crack at fixing a potential bug before suggesting any uninstall/reinstall routines. As it's possible you would lose data that way.

Thank you for sharing your solution. Glad it's working again for you.
