Hello,

I'm new to the forum and am looking for some help.

Suddenly my computer is booting up really slowly. All sounds, whether they be Windows sounds, music files, movies, ets. either skip during playback or play with a lot of static. Also, Itunes often locks up and the "send error report?" message pops up with a mention of some sort of problem with wininet.dll.

I've done virus scans, registry fix programs, and even reformatted a few times. The computer runs fine after reformatting but midway through putting my music back on, the skipping, etc. starts up again.

I'm at a loss. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm willing to try whatever it takes...

Thanks!

Did you just install ITunes or any other program?

In any case, if this anomaly just began use Windows System Restore to revert your system state to a date when everything worked properly.

start/programs/accessories/system tools/system restore
