Mod Edit  Split from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/554678/cnbj2530-error-cannot-fix-with-dism-or-sfc/ - Hamluis.

Hi there Go The Power,

I am having an issue similar to the one posted by the topic starter: SFC and DISM cannot repair corrupt files in Windows 8.1.

The problem started with not being able to print from my desktop, later I found that printui.dll is corrupt. I had to restore from a previous restore point to be able to print again. Before doing that I removed the printer and now I cannot add it back. But at least I can print from all of my devices.

I extracted the error messages from CBS.log and dism.log. I pasted them below:

I wonder whether you can take a look at the error messages and suggest a course of action. One of the corrupt files is CNBJ2530.DPB, same file the topic starter was having a problem with.

My desktop is an HP Pavilion 20, running Windows 8.1 (64-bit) with 16GB of RAM.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Can somebody please take a look at my post from July 11? I want to know whether the solution posted above on 08 November 2014 - 05:10 PM applies to my issue.

Thanks.

I see that you have the update KB3022345 installed on this computer.  I can tell this by a couple of the corrupted files you have.

Please use the link below and follow the instructions there to resolve this issue.  It is important that you download the two components to your desktop, you must drag one of the components over the other.

http://thetechcookbook.com/windows-8-update-kb3022345-causing-corrupt-files/

When you are finished please run the sfc /scannow again and post the log in your topic.  Please use black lettering as the blue is more difficult for me to read.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

There are still 4 messages stating "Cannot repair member files", utc.app.json and telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json.

I will upload a text copy of CBS.log to OneDrive and post the link.

dc3, here is the link to One Drive:

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=B954A4C5D6478C0B!901&authkey=!AIQM4-Y8UQD165o&ithint=folder%2c

The sfc command that I ran ended with:

2015-07-15 00:40:43, Info                  CBS    Ending TrustedInstaller finalization.

2015-07-15 00:40:44, Info                  CBS    Ending TiWorker finalization.

There are more log entries added by Windows Update, I think.

Thanks.

following the above instructions I ran the sfc /scannow and dism commands when I run DISM command  it gives me following

C:\Windows\system32>dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 6.3.9600.17031

Image Version: 6.3.9600.17031

[==========================100.0%==========================]
The restore operation completed successfully. The component store corruption was repaired.
The operation completed successfully.

but after running above i ran sfc scannow command and again got the same error .

C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan.  This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios.

What should I do?

I am trying to upgrade Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 (using auto upgrade options) but it has downloaded almost aobut 8 times but gives error at the end. What should I do.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

haiderinfo, I replied in your thread. Please don't ask for assistance in someone's else thread in the future and start your own as you'll just hijack it :)
