I'm at a loss now and I need some help please.

I have Witopia VPN and it's supposed to start the program up when windows starts.

All of a sudden Witopia doesn't start when windows starts up.

I uninstalled Witopia and used ccleaner to uninstall all stuff left from Witopia.

I then reinstalled Witopia and not only does it not autostart but now I can't even get it to start manually.

I used the same copy of Witopia to run under windows 8 and it works fine.

Tech support at Witopia said to put some exception in AVG antivirus because it has issues with Witopia software but I did that too and even they were out of ideas.

Please help!

Yes I followed those instructions.

I think the issue started when windows crashed and this problem started after that.

Normally when you install Witopia,

You get a installing Vpn devices and it asks you to say yes or no to installing it.

This no longer seems to happen during the install.

I also looked in the running services and it says Witopia is a service that is currently running but the program doesn't start in the taskbar.

Any ideas?

What I ended up doing is uninstalling Witopia again.

I went through all Witopia entries in the registry and removed them all.

There was always an extra device for the vpn in networking and it wasn't there at all.

I reinstalled witopia after removing the entries in the registry and it still wouldn't work at all, so I manually told witopia.exe to run as administrator  in preferences for witopia.exe and I could now manually start witopia.

But the problem still remains that it won't autostart when windows boots up even though there is a box to check off for this to happen in the witopia preferences.

I'm still back to my original problem with witopia that doens't autostartbut it now will run manually.
