Hi, first post, so please bear with me!

I'm trying to get my monitor to work off the HDMI out, using the on-board graphics on my board (Asus M4A88T-M), but after around 8 hours of trying, I'm still struggling.

The monitor works fine via HDMI from my laptop, so the lead and monitor are both fine, but from my PC it will only work via the VGA connection, which obviously isn't preferable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and save me pulling any more hair out...

What operating system?

Has F-8 at boot > select low resolution settings been tried?

Has right-click desktop  > resolution >  detect?
