Unable to uninstall Antivirus

I have Avast Pro
Antivirus. I went into the program to edit some features and was asked for a password that i did not set. :nono:
So i became suspicious and tryed to uninstall it. It is no longer in the Program and features list. I tryed to disable it in Administration. unsucessful.Anytime i try to contact there support i need a pass word i did not set.(see attached)Attached File  Avastpop.jpg   80.33KB   0 downloads I am about to do a clean and sweep. any suggestions?

Go here and download the avast uninstaller utility. Boot to safe mode and run the program.

Download Avast Uninstall Utility which will remove all traces of program,run the tool as Administrator (right click-run as) ,let the tool finish removal and restart your computer. Avast should be gone. https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

Now you don't have to worry about trouble anymore, you are free to install any AV.

ibfbiker in case if you need to uninstall any Antivirus in the future, you can refer to this link from ESET that will list all AV uninstall tools such as Avast,Kaspersky,Bitdefender,etc...
