It was about time! :) As soon as I get home tonight, I'm upgrading to 5.0 and testing my VMs to see if they're all still working and see what are the new features.

Let me try it, just created a Windows 7 SP1 Professional 64-bit at work. Maybe the 3D Virtualization needs to be enabled when you install the VirtualBox Guest Addition Tools but I didn't.

Edit: Not possible to use Aero when using the VirtualBox Graphic Adapter (and without the 3D Virtualization installed) since both graphic feature scores 1.0 in the WEI so it's not enough to enable Aero.

Yes sorry, I always confuse these two words when it comes to VirtualBox' feature. Trying something, will edit with the results.

Edit: 2D and 3D enabled, as well as 256MB of RAM allocated for the graphics, still no Aero and the score remains at 1.0 for 3D graphics and Aero graphics.

As long as the Aero graphics scores below 2.9 (I think it's the right value) in the WEI, Aero will not work.

Aero was already working in the previous versions...

Follow this (same link as Aura.) and you should be fine !

I'm still running on the previous VirtualBox version but I suppose it's likewise in 5.0 ?
