Hello,

5 hours ago my PC (Lenovo Y50, Windows 8.1) asked me for a restart (I guess for windows update or something), and i did.

Now the computer isn't turning on.

Also, Can't access safe mode

Tried:

- Startup repair that didn't do anything

- system restore that says it was completed successfully but it's still doesn't work (In system restore I had only 1 restore point)

- I can see my files through Kaspersky Rescue Disk so I guess the hardware is OK.

What can I do? please help

(BTW, sorry for posting on two different forums. i'm really hopeless)

A lot of people complains of windows 8 issues since windows 10 came out. I understand that windows 10 is free. Why not upgrade to the latest version of windows. Its an easy process. All your applications including connectivity will be compatible with the windows 10 version.

In Windows Update it'll have an option to reserve your copy of Windows 10 - select that.

If you don't have that option, start a new post in this forum asking for help with it.

Then, on 29 July, the new version will be released and you will be able to upgrade.

The exact date isn't published, but those who reserve a copy will be 2nd in line (after the Windows Insider testers).
