I have a Dell Inspiron 620 with Windows 7 Premium.

I got the BSOD and so I shut down the computer and turned it back on. Now windows keeps restarting over and over in a loop. The 'starting windows' screen will appear and then it will go back to the beginning.F8 doesn't work and I can't get to safe mode or restoring the factory defaults. I do not have the recovery disks either.

So what can I do?

Can you get to the BIOS/UEFI.  To do this, rapidly tap F2 when the computer is booting up.

Also, you can try tapping on F12 in order to get to the boot menu.

Let us know if you can't do these 2 things.

As for recovery disks, you can order them from Dell:  http://www.carrona.org/recdisc.html#dell

If able to get to the boot menu (using F12), start with these free, bootable hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/initdiag.html

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
