I want to play multiplayer between two computers in my house and wondered if a wireless lan would make it work? I have a wireless reciever in my laptop built in. Or do I need some lan cable or some other cable?
Thanks

i play games across my wireless all the time although i find a wired connection is better purely because theres less chance of lag, what game is it? because ive had a bit of trouble with a few games but nothing that cant be fixed.

Its empire earth. Or just any game I get. Playing the computer isnt as fun as a real person im sure. I have never played a real person before and since I have dial up I cant do it with friends unless they are at my house. I just want to play a few games with others between the two computers.

EE is wonderful on a LAN, CGM. I have to agree, wired connexions between computers is usually faster than using a wireless set up.

I Don't use wireless so am not sure i do know there is a SMALL latency with any wireless connection.
I certianly wouldn't play any FPS on wireless

(jus googled empire earth) am guessing a slight latency wouldn't be an issue

Now if I understand right you have a wireless router?

There is no problem since when you run your laptop wirelessly you still get assigned your ip and it is just like you we're hooked into the switch.
