I upgraded Malwarebytes to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (mbam) 2.1.8.1057.  I was in my Resource Monitor today (on an unrelated issue) and noticed mbamresearch.exe running.  I cannot find any information on what this is.

The address is ec2-54-165-82-44.compuyer-1.amazonaws.....

It is the 'amazon' that has me worried.

So do you know what mbamresearch.exe is and is it advisible to keep?

Hi GrindingTeeth :)

mbamresearch.exe is a legitimate executable file which belongs to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware if you read Ron's post below.

https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/169699-mbamresearchexe-not-found/#entry971812

Since its part of Malwarebytes, I would leave it like it is and not worry about it.

Malwarebytes creates several files and a service when it is installed.
