So my system is a Gateway 2000 P5-100 running dos 6.22. I have a three disc CD changer and I'm trying to play a game that requries two discs. Thinking I wouldn't have to worry about disc swapping, I switched to disc two using the controls on the drive, and it worked for a minute while the game accessed the disc. But, soon after, it switched by to disc one (I believed this happened when the game stopped accessing the disc for a split second, so it defaulted to one) and the game soon crashed. Is this how disc changers are supposed to work? Maybe this is more for playing music CDs? Your thoughts are appriciated.
