My Mac became locked up when I was on YOUTUBE. The screen  suddenly changed to a screen with the following location:
hxxp://mac-protecton.com.  It warned using  the following:  Critical Security Warning!  Your System is infected with a malicious adward attack.

Notice the mis-spellings.  Protection is spelled:  protecton, and adware is spelled adward.

How do I clean this thing out of my mac?.

Download and run AdwareMedic. Let us know if it doesn't work out for you.
