My wife's laptop stopped detecting the audio device out of no where. I tried going to the Toshiba website after entering in the laptop serial number, but I don't even know which is the correct one. I tried to install two different ones to no avail.

I also tried to have windows search for the driver, it said something about a missing file. Anyone know wtf is going on?

Open Device Manager by typing Devmgmt.msc into Search charm and within Device Manager if there is any unrecognized devices they will be listed under “Unknown devices” or “Other devices” with a black exclamation point (!) on a yellow sign. Right-click on the listing for the Unknown Device, select Properties from the context menu, and then click on the Details tab at the top of the resulting window.

On the Details tab, you’ll see a drop down menu labeled “Property”. Select Hardware IDs from the drop down menu and the “Value” field below will populate with a list of values copy and paste the Hardware IDs values here on your next post.
