I have an acer touch screen and after being on it for a few minutes it cut out and starts up with a constant bleep does anyone know why?

Edit: Moved topic from BleepingComputer Announcements, Comments, & Suggestions to the more appropriate forum, using best guess due to not knowing for sure what the OS is.~ Animal

Can you give us a few more hints? What's the OS? Are all of the drivers current? Have you added anything new/different? What's the security program?

Sorry, no answers only questions. Got to get a better picture of what you have before any suggestions are p[possible

Thanks

Dick.

OS = operating system [sorry]

It sounds like (a) the graphics drivers or (b ) the graphics card or © the monitor.

I'd start with the drivers by uninstalling and reinstalling the current ones.

The other possibility is heat.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/578952/how-do-i-turn-off-the-beep-noise-from-the-inside-of-my-laptop/#entry3730279

This topic was about a Windows 8.1 computer that beeped "randomly", once a second or several times per hour.

I just hope it gives you some ideas .......

"It sounds like the graphics card or © the monitor."

This ^ sounds correct.  I highly doubt it is a software issue.

Cheers,

@ dicke -

The only trouble was that (along with several others) we could not solve the problem :( , but I was interested to know if the topic was related in any way.

But it gave ideas on where to look and where we went -

Regards to you and venetia -
