I am at a loss here and it is really killing my small business. In the quarantine log the first two I was able to send through the Start Emergency Kit program however I could NOT send the last two as the emails were blocked with an error message of "communication error". This sucker flew around my network and has much protection in place. I can't pin it down! I have these logs and thanks in advance!

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help. No one is ignored here.

To help Bleeping Computer better assist you please perform the following steps:

***************************************************

CLICK THIS LINK >>> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/logreply/580865 <<< CLICK THIS LINK

If you no longer need help, then all you needed to do was the previous instructions of telling me so. You can skip the rest of this post. If you do need help please continue with Step 2 below.

***************************************************

step2.gifIf you still need help, I would like you to post a Reply to this topic (click the "Add Reply" button in the lower right hand of this page). In that reply, please include the following information:

  • If you have not done so already, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.
  • A new FRST log. For your convenience, you will find the instructions for generating these logs repeated at the bottom of this post.
    • Please do this even if you have previously posted logs for us.
    • If you were unable to produce the logs originally please try once more.
    • If you are unable to create a log please provide detailed information about your installed Windows Operating System including the Version, Edition and if it is a 32bit or a 64bit system.
    • If you are unsure about any of these characteristics just post what you can and we will guide you.
  • Please tell us if you have your original Windows CD/DVD available.
  • Upon completing the above steps and posting a reply, another staff member will review your topic and do their best to resolve your issues.

Thank you for your patience, and again sorry for the delay.

***************************************************

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan again:

  • Download FRST by Farbar from the following link if you no longer have it available and save it to your destop.

    FRST Download Link

  • When you go to the above page, there will be 32-bit and 64-bit downloads available. Please click on the appropriate one for your version of Windows. If you are unsure as to whether your Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit, please see this tutorial.
  • Double click on the FRST icon and allow it to run.
  • Agree to the usage agreement and FRST will open. Do not make any changes and click on the Scan button.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Post the new logs as explained in the prep guide.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.

As I am just a silly little program running on the BleepingComputer.com servers, please do not send me private messages as I do not know how to read and reply to them! Thanks!

This freaking thing has moved from my laptop to router into two other computers, a cloud based time punch clock (its fried) security cameras. It disables event and security logs. blocks email submissions of itself to AV vendors... I will post screen shots and saved logs. Yesterday I paid Microsoft $149.00 and spent >2 hrs. on the phone with 1st level helper who at the end says to me that he is turning this one over to the escalation dept and I'm going to level two. After dunning the FRST I ran SEE and got this for the third time. This is the one that does not let me submit it. See the screen shot. "communication error" Oh yeah at the end of another >2.5 hrs Microsoft declared it safe and to use freely. Its not gone and I don't need a program to tell me that, you just know. beck & call...

nasdaq,

Thank you for your help. Some info. and the Fixlog in this post.

This started on a Windows 7 Home premium laptop (Comp#1), since been wiped, however is showing signs of not being clean (i.e. hard drive faults, new partitions in hard drives, reload of Win 7 slow and faulty).

Attached File  LAN drawing.bmp   2.14MB   2 downloads

Malware spread through wireless/wired LAN and faulted two routers, one from service provider (Rout#1) and a DLink DIR 655 (Rout#2). Both would work however date/time would always be off, event logs would stop recording for days or quit altogether, when logging in from LAN desktop (Comp#2) would get redirect URL and inactive user interface (nothing listed on LAN, no clicks would work anywhere only scroll). Currently using desktop (Comp#2) and DLink (Rout#2).  I have a new ASUS (Rout#3) ready to switch out when all is clear.

We have a cloud based time clock that has faulted also. Trouble shooting with vendor indicating it is fried and sending a new one. It reads DHCP error and none of the factory codes work to reset it.

Laptop (comp#3) OS Windows 8.1 is slow and will not wake from rest and intermittent boot up problems.

There were always two ruby(s) running with VPN/PIA. Is that protocol?

Right now we are working on desktop (Comp#2). After completion may we do the other two? I will start the first steps and have them ready for you as you require. I assume there is a way I can make a donation to BleepingComputer? It would be my pleasure...

(Comp#2) Fix log

This desktop is still slow and mouse control is retarded at times. Comp. a new build on 6/12/2015 - Z-97, i7, 32 RAM, 500 SSD, 2T HDD, Win 7 Pro, Service pack 1

Attached File  Fixlog.txt   3.67KB   1 downloads
