Hey guys, I have a Astro A140 head set, I have updated my drivers and everything. but all of a sudden earlier today. My microphone stops working on my headset. I can still listen to music and videos on my head set and talk to people on skype.

But no one can hear me talk, its just white noise on there end. I have adjusted the setting and went from the back ports to the front ports and still nothing works for my microphone.

When checking the setting in control panel, I will speak into my microhpone and its not even receaving any sound.

Please help

I'm not real good with sound problems - and even less so with microphones.

But, I'll give this a shot.

First thing, try the headphones/microphone on another computer - do they work there?

Then, uninstall all the software for this device.

Then download and install a fresh set of the latest Win8.1 drivers for it

Reboot and see if it works then.
