Hi

I wonder if anyone could help me?  I have recently updated my Linux Ubuntu 14.04 installation to 14.10.  When installed I tried to bring up dropbox and it wouldn't work, I uninstalled and reinstalled and still no luck.  Also tried Update Manager and it just freezes and it won't check for updates of programs.  So not sure what to do here, can anyone help me as fairly new to Ubuntu.

Thanks

Andrew

Can you post details of your system, i.e Kernel , AMD / Nvidia,  Ram and so on

also if you try and run Dropbox from the Terminal does it give any readout if so can you post it.

I have recently updated my Linux Ubuntu 14.04 installation to 14.10.

May I ask why?

Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn End of life date July 2015

IMO get rid of 14.10 and go with 14,04 or 15.04  LTS. The LTS stands for Long Term Support.

Hi All

just to let you know I have sorted this now.  14.04. version asked to be updated to 14.10 but managed to get 14.10 to update to 15.04 and now dropbox works and update manager.

Thanks for your help
