Can anyone help an experienced Windows XP Pro user? All of a sudden I walk in my office, suspecting all to be normal (that was my first mistake) and I see the following message on my screen:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

<windowsroot>system32\hal.dll

Please re-install a copy of the above file
[i]

Well, how in the heck do I do that? I have reached the end of my level of knowledge. Somebody please help!!

Thanks,

Wildonion
