Hello and welcome to BC .. can you tell us what motherboard you have?  Sometimes it is as simple as pressing a button.  Othertimes you need to 'short across' the clear cmos pins, and you can also remove the motherboard battery for 10 mins or so in other cases.  Can you give us more information on what your trying to do and why .. or what your trying to fix?

Basically motherboard only powers on. It doesnt display anything on the monitor. I tried installing a checked and confirmed working external graphic card but found no solution. Its a 775 MSI motherboard

If you have tried the steps that YeahBleeping suggested and the MOBO still wont boot- it may be dead. you would have to take it in to a shop to have it tested, but in my experience that has been the case-

Have you tried a different monitor?

775 is the socket type.  What is the model of the motherboard?
