Wondering where I can download a copy of ADWCleaner. And if anyone knows a way to get Dregol off my machine without downloading a half dozen utilities, let me know.

Thanks,

B

Hi Bartedous :)

The two official download links for AdwCleaner are on BleepingComputer and ToolsLibs.

BleepingComputer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/
ToolsLib: https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/

You shouldn't download AdwCleaner from any other websites/links. Also, I can help you get rid of Dregol. Follow the instructions below please.

3Al62Pm.pngMiniToolBox
  • Download MiniToolBox and move the executable file to your Desktop;
  • Right-click on MiniToolBox.exe and select Spcusrh.pngRun as Administrator;
  • Check the following options:
    • List Installed Programs;
    • List Last 10 Event Viewer Errors;
    • List Devices - Only Problems;
    • List Users, Partitions and Memory size;

  • Once this is done, click on Go and wait for the scan to complete;
  • Once the scan is complete, a log will open. Please copy/paste the content of the output log in your next reply;

It's a false positive from Google Chrome and your Antivirus software. Right-click on it and select Conserve. It's perfectly safe to run.

I just checked and Dregol seems to be gone. ADWCleaner got it.

Mille Grazie, Aura.

Well I didn't do anything that would remove Dregol so far. If it's gone, then it's good. If you want me to check to be sure it's gone, let me know :)
