Sup all, i have been working on a family friends computer for the better part of the day, trying to remove some viruses, but i haven't had much luck

so far the steps i've taken are
installed MBAM, SBOT, avast, looked through startup, run malware bytes anti rootkit, combofix, system restore, reinstalled outlook.. no luck
thankfully atleast now avast is preventing emails from being sent via outlook.

what was happening was, every 3 seconds or something, avast would prevent outlook from sending a virus email titled something like "invoice confirmation payment"

im relatively initiated when it comes to dealing with viruses but i'm not having luck with this.. 4 things were picked up by avast, and removed, and didnt help

i did run hijackthis, ran it through the web analyzer and eyeballed it myself, but couldnt find much... unfortunately i dont have the logs with me

i have promised to do some research, and go back in the morning, and try to figure it out then, can anyone advise me on some steps i should take to correct this? the virus only seems to run when outlook is open.. lead me to think just the exe was infected, but reinstalling didnt help, it doesnt seem to force outlook to open.

also, the other computer has possibly a virus... it basically scrolls down at about a 0.3 second interval... so if you have task manager it will slowly scroll off to the side, and if you have a dialogue/drop down open, it will scroll down the list (made it difficult to install antivirus, maybe ingenious defense?)
this behaviour wasnt present in safe mode also, all above steps were also taken on this computer, except restore point.

any help is appreciated, currently dont have access to the computers, i have a hijackthis log from the 2nd computer with the scrolling computer, but nothing from the outlook computer.

thanks

Hello, havig run ComboFix we need to see that log. Please repost it here ,Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs, with your above explanation.
Let me know if that went well.

ComboFix may have removed tings we did not want it to, we need to be sure.

New topic
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/579921/outlook-email-virus/

Now that your log is properly posted, you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a Malware Removal Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show it the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.
From this point on the Malware Removal Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.
Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the Malware Removal Team members are very busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the Malware Removal Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another MRL Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.
The current wait time is 1 - 3 days and ALL logs are answered.
If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.
To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic.
